Moody/CCP-WSI Joint Workshop 1

 10th October 2023

 09:30 pm

Room 302, Rolle Building, University of Plymouth, Plymouth, UK

Description and Aim

The Moody/CCP-WSI Joint Workshop 1 is an immersive workshop on MoodyMarine, a state-of-the-art software tool for modelling dynamic moorings and performing station-keeping simulations. Led by the developers of the software, this workshop aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of MoodyMarine and its vital role in hydrodynamics modeling. Throughout the day, participants will explore the application of MoodyMarine to moored floating body dynamics, generic wave energy converters, and floating wind platforms, gaining practical insights and hands-on experience. The workshop will also cover MoodyMarine installation, examples, and the conversion of MoodyMarine to a MoodyAPI (OpenFOAM) case. This interactive session concludes with an open Q&A, fostering valuable discussions and knowledge exchange among participants in the hydrodynamics community. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or new to the field, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to enhance your skills and harness the power of MoodyMarine in your research and engineering endeavors.
